Clinton vs. Huckabee, Round 1

In the next couple of weeks I will be highlighting some of the arguments of beliefs of Clinton and Huckabee. If you are a true conservative, you should know that Huckabee is the only one who could possibly debate and beat Clinton. Everyone else on the Republican ticket has liberal tendencies of some sort and Huckabee is clearly the most conservative and better speaking out of the group.

War on Terror/Iraq

Hillary Clinton

This may be one of the most controversial issues facing her in this race, she at one time voted for the war and funding it long after she was against it. There is only so much people will believe when it comes to her being hoodwinked by President Bush in voting for the war. The fact is she voted for it, now she is against it. There is one thing to be against the war now, but to purposely attack a man with more honor than she would ever have (General Petraus) is inexcusable. Her plan is to not only NOT bring the entire military home but, to leave them in the region for future conflicts. Why get our of Iraq and then bomb them from time to time when they don’t comply? Off of her own website “Hillary opposes permanent bases in Iraq. She believes we may need a vastly reduced residual force to train Iraqi troops, provide logistical support, and conduct counterterrorism operations. But that is not a permanent force, and she has been clear that she does not plan a permanent occupation.”

Mike Huckabee

Huckabee is focused on winning the war. He can with some patience from the American people. He doesn’t support permanent bases or a permanent fixture in the Middle East to perform bombings and counter terrorism missions; he feels if you do the job right the first time you shouldn’t have to go back later. From his own website Huckabee says, “ I am focused on winning. Withdrawal would have serious strategic consequences for us and horrific humanitarian consequences for the Iraqis. If we leave, Iraq's neighbors on all sides will face a refugee crisis and be drawn into the war: Iran to protect the Shiites; Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan to protect the Sunnis; and Turkey to protect its control over its own Kurd population. Iraq is a crossroads where Arab meets Persian and Kurd, Sunni meets Shiite and so if it's not a peaceful buffer, it can easily become a tinderbox for the region. When we deposed Saddam, we emphasized Iraq's central location as a prime place to establish democracy and have it spread. That was the potential dramatic upside. Now we're faced with the potential dramatic downside that the terrorists are fighting to take advantage of: Iraq's central location as a prime place to create chaos and have it spread.”

Why would we leave in defeat and only come back when the problems arise again? Do it right the first time, which is the conservative and American way.

Why don’t people get that all of this is completely irrelevant. Romney is the only one who will be capable of winning the general election. The various reasons behind this truth would fill up too many pages in blog to expound. I invite anyone doubting this to please revisit this blog in November after Huck or McCain get STEAMROLLED by the dems.

Anyone here defending Huckabee as a presidential candidate is actually defending Hillary.

When are Huckabee and McCain supporters going to finally realize what most of us can CLEARLY see: They are unelectable. Period.

Stop supporting Huckabee, your Huck/McCain primary votes are going to put Hillary and Obama in office. Seriously, just vote for Hillary now and save us time.

Follow up to my previous comment:

I said I would not expound on the MANY reason they are unelectable.

Can’t resist. Here are a few revealing ones:
Why did the Concord Monitor Newspaper attack Mitt Romney so ruthlessly? These people are as liberal Democratic as they come. What about Romney scares them enough to lash out like that? Hmmmm….It sounds like these Hillary lovers really want Huck to be the nominee in November. I wonder WHY?

Rush Limbaugh. The guy lives and breathes for the Republican party. He’s spent his career defending and promoting the GOP, through thick and thin. I wonder why he has come out so vocally AGAINST Huckabee??? Hmmm…He’s obviously protecting his beloved GOP from something….Could it be ignorant Huckabee supporters who don’t understand that Mike Huckabee will NEVER be elected by the general population outside of the Bible Belt. Rush knows it, so should Huckabee supporters.

Can you sense the frustration level?

Here's one more thought to keep you up at night (no, it’s not Huck sitting across a table from Ahmadinejad). The supreme court is ONE judge away from overturning Roe v Wade. Romney will appoint a pro-lifer, Hillary Won’t. Given that Huck/McCain can’t win, it appears that Huckabee voters are really in favor of abortion. Think about it.

Huckabee supporters...a plea from a fellow conservative here. I think most of you understand just how liberal McCain's main achievements in the Senate have been, linking up with extreme liberals like Feingold of California, Kennedy of Massachusetts, working closely with Hillary Clinton, etc. If McCain wins, all conservatives lose, and in a big way likely to last for years. The ONLY way we can stop McCain is to have you guys join us in supporting Mitt Romney on Super Tuesday. Please consider this. I believe it is critically important. Don't forget the McCain crafted the bill that had it passed would have given all illegals a chance to stay in the U.S. the rest of their lives with only a minor fine to pay. Don't forget that McCain-Feingold was a direct restriction of the First Amendment guarantee of free speech. Let's unite for conservatism! This is a link to one of your fellow Huck supporters who just decided to change his vote to Romney...they explain why here: http://huck2008.blogspot.com/2008/01/im-endorsing-mitt-romney.html
